It is with great sadness that the Summerset Music & Arts Festival has to announce the cancellation of our intended larger live music offerings this August in Fort Langley and September in Penticton. As much as our team had been looking forward to bringing artists and live music fans together again at the National Historic Site in Fort Langley and expand into Penticton, once again, the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have continued to halt those efforts for events in both locations.
Parks Canada informed us very recently that the reasons for now not being willing to host the event as they have before at the Fort Langley Historic Site was that it was “out-of-sync with our (Parks Canada) COVID response nationally.” In Penticton the reasons are due to the increasing COVID-19 case numbers throughout the Okanagan region. Therefore both Summerset Music & Arts Festival Langley and Penticton events will be postponed until 2022. All ticket holders for both events will receive a full refund.
However! Our good friends at Trading Post Brewing want to help bring live music to the Langley community, and we will be hosting “Summerset Nights” at Trading Post Brewing Eatery, August 27 - 29th. Featuring the Summerset Music & Arts Festival performers in an incredibly intimate setting, guests will enjoy a night of music, plus dinner and a drink, under a gorgeous sunset on their outdoor patio. Public tickets go on sale Monday August 16th
